FETHE SUCCUMBS
TO HEART ATTACK

Henry Frederick Fethe, age 50, died suddenly at his home on the Union City highway at 12:45, Thursday, August 5, following a heart attack of the previous day. Mr. Fethe and his family had known of his heart ailment for about eight years during which time he had been subject to recurrent attacks. However, his condition was thought to have improved during the past few months; thus his death came as a severe shock to family and friends who deeply regret his untimely passing.

An electrician by trade, Mr. Fethe had a shop on his premises but was working at the Roper Pecan Company when stricken, about four o'clock Wednesday afternoon. He was taken to his home where a physician attended him at once but a second attack occurred the following day, resulting in his death.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 4:30 from the First Methodist church of which he was a member. Officiating ministers were the pastor of the church, the Rev. W. D. Grissom, Rev. L. E. Groseclose, pastor of the First Christian Church and Rev. A. B. Council, Methodist pastor of Ridgely, Tenn.

Pall bearers were Wood Tipton, Earl Matthews, John Blincoe, Lloyd Isbell, W. E. Owens and Ernest Fields.

Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Hamilton of Kansas City, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hamilton of Memphis; Mr. and Mrs. James Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Parker, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Montgomery, Mrs. Bob Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Hutchcraft, Mrs. Elmer Bunch and Mrs. Jesse Murphy all of Samburg; Mr. and Mrs. Armour Ratcliff, and Mrs. Jesse B. Murphy of Crystal; Mr. and Mrs. Homer Snow, Mrs. Vera Caldwell, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Reece, Burrell Holden, Finis Gardner of Union City; Rev. A. B. Council of Ridgely and Charles W. Fethe of Atlanta.

Mr. Fethe was a member of the Masonic fraternity, and the American Legion, by virtue of having served in World War 1. Impressive last rites were administered by these organizations to which he was deeply devoted.

Burial was in the city cemetery with Barrett funeral service.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Hamilton Fethe; a step-son, Elmer Parker; his mother, Mrs. Walter Fethe; one brother, Charles Fethe, and one sister, Miss Louise Fethe.
