Mary was the daughter of Edward & Dorothea (Meyer) Brenneisen, both German immigrants.
(It is interesting to note that Edward's sister, Maria Elisabeth "Lizzie" Brenneisen, married the brother of Dorothea Meyer - Conrad Meyer. So the children of these two couples were double first cousins.)
