The Pittsburgh District's first casualty of the war in the Pacific was announced today by the War department.
The parents of Private George G. Leslie, 20, an enlisted man in the U.S. Air Corps, were informed that their son had been killed in the Japanese attack on the Hawaiian Islands.
Private Leslie, who is survived by a brother and two sisters, enlisted in the Air Corps last April and was taking personal management training in Hawaii. He was a graduate of Arnold High School.
