Kenneth Johnson of Hayfield dies at 80

HAYFIELD -- Kenneth A. Johnson, 80, of Hayfield, a lifelong Dodge County resident and retired farmer, died Sunday morning (Dec. 12, 1993) at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

He was born Dec. 15, 1912, in Moline, Ill., and married Rose Johnson on Nov. 28, 1936, at Trinity Lutheran parsonage in Hayfield. Mr. Johnson was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield, served on the church council nine years and had served on a rural school board.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Ramona (Mrs. Darrell) Jacobson of Bloom-ing Prairie; two sons, Willard K. of Salt Lake City and David A. of Hudson, Wis.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A brother and a grandson preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church here, with the Rev. Reginald N. Torrison officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Vernon Funeral Home here and an hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
