Thomas Earl "Tommy" Braddy, 86, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Regi Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Mr. Braddy was born in Leonard to Edna and Ralph Braddy. He grew up in Celeste and graduated from Celeste High School in 1935.

During World War II he proudly served in the Army Air Corps and reached the rank of Corporal.

He married Wilma "Willie" Wright in Canyon on Feb. 9, 1945. He moved to Hereford in 1950. He then moved to Umbarger in 1979 and to Amarillo in 1999. He farmed and ranched west of Hereford and in Umbarger for many years. Mr. Braddy was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church.

He was a Mason and a Shriner. He was raised to the degree of Master Mason on Jan. 31, 1940, in St. John Masonic Lodge No. 51. He was past master of the Wiley Manning Masonic Lodge No. 702 and at the time of his death, he was a member of the San Jacinto Masonic Lodge No. 1330. He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry Valley of Lubbock and Khiva Shrine Temple, where he was past president of the Khiva Greeters.

He was preceded in death by his father; his mother; and a brother, Ray Braddy.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Ann Gooch of Canyon; two granddaughters, Shay Christian and husband, Rit, of Claude and Shyla Yosten and husband, Tony, of McKinney; and three great-grandsons, J.T. Christian,
Brock Yosten and Dax Yosten.

The family suggests memorials be to Khiva Travel Fund for Crippled Children, in care of Khiva Temple, P.O. Box 328, Amarillo, TX 79105 or to a favorite charity.
