Survivors include her husband, Kenneth L. Potter, of the home; a stepdaughter, Frances and Bob Hatzfeld, Greenwood, Miss.; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; six sisters, Velma Stark, Colorado Springs, Colo., Doris Favor, Westville, Okla., Beverly McCurdy, Kingsville, Wanda Loveall, Lamar, Alta Carpenter, Liberal, and Alma Swain, Foristell.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Dukes, and four sisters, Mary Christianberry, Ruby McQueen, Thelma Still and Fern Bern.
Mrs. Potter was born Dec. 29, 1926, in Snyder, Colo., to Ruben and Gladys (Palmer) Dukes. She worked at Westinghouse, and then owned and operated a laundry mat. She was an optometrist assistant in Grandview for many years before moving to Jasper, where she worked for Dr. Swearingen in Lamar.
She married Kenneth L. Potter on Sept. 1, 1951, in Kansas City, Mo.
