19 years old Corporal in the Confederate Army,
died 24 days after the Battle Of Britton's Lane.
Cpl. Reid enlisted in Co. K. 6th Tennessee Infantry, C.S.A. on May 15, 1861 along with his brother, Thomas A. Reid for 1 year. (Memorial # 57007830). At the end of his enlistment he then enlisted into Co. I. 14th Tennessee Cavalry on August 1, 1863. He was mortally wounded at the Battle of Athens, Alabama on September 24, 1864 with GSW in his thigh and bowels. He died on September 25, 1864.
