Betty was the daughter of Leonard Matteson and Dema Matthews. Dema was the daughter of James 'Lum' Columbus Mathews and Rhoda Curtis Mathews Smith.

WELLSVILLE — Betty Cevoli, 72, Wellsville, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at Village Manor Nursing Home, Ottawa.

A Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa.

She was born on Feb. 27, 1936, to Leonard and Dema (Matthew) Matteson in Harris. She attended Westphalia High School, later earning her G.E.D. and attending Johnson County Community College.

On Sept, 7, 1957, she married Carlo R. Cevoli in Lake Worth, Fla. He survives, of their home.

She was a homemaker. She also sold real estate and insurance, and was a nurse's aide.

She has been a resident of Wellsville since 1977, moving from Lake Worth, where she had lived for 24 years.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Writer's Club, and Sewing Club, all of Ottawa.

Survivors also include two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Michael Hanley of Midlothian, Va., and Sue and Jamie Olson, Olathe; two son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Chris Cevoli, Olathe, and Mike Cevoli, Ottawa; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Maurice Wiederholt, Ottawa, and Beulah and Tom Graham, Boxholm, Iowa; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents,four
infant children and a brother, Kenneth Matteson.

Visitors may pay their respects after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Dengel & Son Mortuary, where a Rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday followed by family visitation from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
