Funeral services for David Briggs, 83, whose death occurred yesterday morning at his home in St. Michael, will be conducted Thursday. The remains have been removed to the home of a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hendrickson of House 64, St. Michael. The funeral cortege will leave there at 12:30 p.m. Thursday and services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. in the Glasgow United Brethren Church by Rev. William Morris, pastor of the Church of God, Johnstown. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow, will be directed by the Dimond Funeral Home of South Park. Born in Warrior's Mark, June 14, 1858, Mr. Briggs was a son of Richard and Catherine Briggs. He had lived in Glasgow for a number of years before moving to St. Michael four years ago. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Emma (Mills) Briggs, and these children: Rose, wife of Joseph Myers, Mt. Union; Tillie, wife of Henry Hendrickson, St. Michael; Dorothy, wife of George Beers, Cresson, and Esther, wife of Matthew Waddell, St. Michael. There are 34 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
