Grace Mace

PEKIN - Grace Berry Mace, 78, formerly of Garden City, Mich., died at 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at Pekin Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Sept. 27, 1920, in Peoria to Phillip S. and Myrtle Denton Reynolds, she married the Rev. Samuel C. Berry on June 23, 1935. He died March 3, 1979.
She later married James Belk and he preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by one brother and seven sisters.
She married the Rev. Emden C. Mace on March 8, 1986. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, John Berry of South Pekin and Paul Berry of Spring, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. James (Norma) Stovall of South Pekin; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four stepchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Nelda) Harrison of Peoria and several nieces and nephews.
A certified nursing assistant, she worked at the Apostolic Christian Home in Morton.
She was a member of Bible Holiness Church in South Pekin, where she served as treasurer. A Christian musician, she made several tapes for radio programs in Missouri.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bible Methodist Church in Peoria. The Revs. Wayne Knipmeyer and Russell Roberts will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery in South Pekin.
Memorials may be made to Bible Holiness Church in South Pekin or Bible Holiness Church in Garden City.
