My G-Grandfather.
Robert was the son of Robt Rutledge and Ellen Elliott(both of Ireland).
He was first married to Annie Dicks Rutledge and the father to:
Walter Russell Rutledge
Gordon Elliott Rutledge(my Grandfather).
After the death of Annie, he married Georgina Gifford, and they had a daughter, Verna Eileen Hope Rutledge. Sadly, she died shortly after her first birthday and the couple separated but never divorced.
My G-Grandfather was a dreamer, and was at one time an inventor - he created the Rutledge Pure Air Systems - it was glass cases for Butchers. But do to problems with his fellow investors, he lost control of the patent for this and eventually lost all control and money he had invested.
He was buried with his parents.
