Popular Citizen of Fallen Timber Passes Away
Joseph A. Beers died at his home in Fallen Timber, Friday morning, November 30th, having been a sufferer for some time of pulmonary tuberculosis. The deceased was aged 25 years, 1 month and 25 days. He leaves to mourn their loss a widow, his mother, Mrs. Sarah Beers, of Fallen Timber and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Adam J. Frye, of Johnstown; F.H. of Fallen Timber; and Dewey, at home. The deceased was united in marriage to Miss Isabelle Hahn on June 7, 1916. One daughter was born to their union, preceded her father to the grave. The deceased was an active Sunday School and church worker all his live. The funeral services were preached at the house on Sunday at one o'clock. Rev. J. A. Mills, of Coalport, officiating. Interment was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery at Glasgow. The deceased had many friends through this section to whom the news of his death came a s a sad shock. He was a splendid young man of good character and strictly sober.
