He was born on February 10, 1922 to Fayez and Rachel Nassif Abdnor in Ain-Arab, Lebanon, and was married to and divorced from Helen Henry of Marshalltown, Iowa. They had one son, Steven in 1952, who currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada with wife Danielle.
Fred had served during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1943 – 1946.
He was an active member of the former St. John's Eastern Orthodox Church and worked as a master carpenter and mason most of his life. He was generous and loved by many in the community and always gave of his time and expertise to help those in need.
He leaves behind his son Steven and daughter in law Danielle and his girlfriend of 40 years, Fidelis Abodeely and her family.
Services: 9 a.m. Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by Rev. William B. Harnish and Rev. Alexander George.
