Funeral services for Jerold S. Bennett, 82, Deseret, Millard County, will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Deseret LDS Ward Chapel. He died Thursday in a Delta hospital of natural causes. He was the brother of Leslie Bennett, Provo. He was born May 22, 1890 in Deseret, a son to John R. and Margaret Cahoon Bennett. On December 8, 1909, he married Ava Jackson in Oasis, Millard County, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of his church as well as in community affairs. He served an LDS mission to the Southern States in 1909-1911. Survivors are his widow, Deseret; two sons and a daughter, LaMar Bennett, Las Vegas; Rulon Bennett, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Delbert (Ina) Barnes, Fullerton, Calif.; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Leslie Bennett, Provo, and Lawrence Bennett, Deseret. Friends may call at the Nickle Mortuary, Delta on Sunday from 8 to 9 p.m. and on Monday an hour before services at the chapel. Burial will be in the Deseret Cemetery.
