She was born in Harmans, Maryland in 1926. She graduated from Glen Burnie High School. Dorothy was a member of the Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church. She enjoyed many hobbies including bowling, knitting, solving crossword puzzles and reading. She liked to spend time with her family and friends. She was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles.
