Madras resident Geraldine I. Williams died March 5, at Mountain View Care Center at the age of 84.
Mrs. Williams was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Anadarko, Okla., to parents Roy and Mellie (Speaks) Madison. On Oct. 22, 1933, she was united in marriage to Jake Williams in Cyril, Okla., and he preceded her in death in 1998 after 55 years of marriage.
She has lived in Central Oregon since 1958. She was a member of the Terrebonne Baptist Church. Since the church was small, she allowed Sunday School classes to be held in her home.
She loved children, no matter whose they were, and her house was always full of them. She also loved to dance.
Survivors include her daughters, Irene Holcomb of Madras, Wanda Rickard of Crooked River Ranch, and Wilma Leathers of Anchorage, Alaska; brother, Raymond Madison of Cyril, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake, and a son, Ralph.
Funeral services will be March 8, at 11 a.m., at the Dayspring Christian Center in Terrebonne officiated by Pastor Michael Kirkman of the Faith Community Church in Redmond. Internment will follow at 1 p.m., at the Mt. Jefferson Memorial Park in Madras. Arrangements are under the direction of Autumn Funerals.
