Beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and special friend, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her heavenly Father, Dec. 19, 2000 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Dec. 22, 1930 in Moroni, UT to George Eugene Despain and Delphia Reese Despain. Yvonne spent her youth in Moroni, UT. She attended Snow College. Married Donald Holbrook; later divorced. Married the love of her life, Blaine Robert Hale May 21, 1970. They settled in the Willow Creek area where they raised their family. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in various callings throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She dedicated her life to her family. She was a loving example for her children and grandchildren. And was eager to share her knowledge with all who sought her wisdom. She was blessed with 10 children, 44 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Survived by her loving husband, Blaine Robert Hale; children, Scott (Pam) Hale, Patti (Dave) Knibbe, Cindy (Chris) Hansen, Christie Howes, Jon (Christine) Holbrook, Kit (Yvette) Hale, Kelly (Diane) Hale, Kevin (Carol) Hale, Sue (John) Heath, Shari (Steve) Young; sister, Betty (Vance) Aagard; brothers, Larry (Stella) Despain, Steve (Kay) Despain. Preceded in death by mother and father (Nana and Grandpy), son-in-law, Michael Howes.
Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, 12 noon, in the Little Cottonwood LDS 5th Ward Chapel, 6350 South Rodeo Lane. Friends may call on Friday, 7-8 at the Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, and Saturday, one hour prior to the services at the chapel. Interment, Grantsville City Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all of Yvonne's caregivers for their love and kindness. Mom, we'll miss you!
