Dan had been a resident of Springfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center for the last few years.
He was preceded in death by a brother Loy Ivan; his maternal grandparents Fred Rose and Anna (Francis) Rose; his paternal grandparents Franklin Francis and Berta (Huddleston) Francis.
He is survived by his mother of Springfield, MO; his father of Mount Vernon, MO; and one sister Dena, of Springfield, MO; as well as aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services are Wednesday at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Dan Roy Francis was born February 9, 1958, in West Plains, MO, and entered into eternal rest on October 19, 2008, at the age of 50 years, seven months and 10 days.
Dan attended Springfield Public Schools until he was 16, then he went to work for the Springfield Workshop, where he worked for 26 years, until he had a stroke in 2001.
Dan accepted Jesus as his savior at an early age, and was baptized into the Baptist faith.
Dan was a very loving person and was loved by most people he met. Dan said his secret to a great life was do what you think is right, and let Jesus be your guide.
Dan is survived by his parents, Roy and Mary Francis; a sister, Dena Ren Francis; aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Loy Ivan Francis.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with a service following in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
