Margaret J. Klapperich, 97, of Harmony Terrace Court, Wausau, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at Wausau Manor.
She was born March 2, 1907, in the town of Texas, to the late Jacob and Seline (Olson) Isaacson. Margaret married Edward Klapperich Oct. 27, 1928, in Merrill.
They enjoyed their cottage on Skunk Lake, Hazelhurst, traveling in the South, especially Florida, sightseeing, fishing, golfing and bowling. Margaret was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Quilting Group, and she past treasurer and a member of the Welfare Workers since 1935. She also did volunteer work for Bethesda Thrift Shop by doing the button work at her home. Her hobbies included crocheting and collecting china birds.
Survivors include her daughter, Joan (Milton) Seehafer of Wausau; her son, Gene (Gerry) Klapperich of Wausau; eight grandchildren, Michael (Joan) Seehafer, Patricia, Carol and Mary Seehafer, Sharon (Bryan) Thacker, Barbara (Greg) Senn, Jeffry (Jeanne) Klapperich and Sandra (Dan) Ocker; 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Margaret was further preceded in death by her husband, Edward; one granddaughter, Susan Klapperich; one great-granddaughter, Michelle Seehafer; two brothers, Oscar and Jacob Isaacson; and three sisters, Agnes Bagley, Seline Wesenick and Madelia Dehlinger.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Gary Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may visit at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
