Walter Lester Escue, 68, of Summertown, TN, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at his residence in Summertown, TN. Mr. Escue was a retired employee of Lewis County Highway Department and a native of Lawrence Co., TN. He was preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Ruby Gray Escue, one son, Ronnie Escue, and one brother, Charles D. Escue.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Escue of Summertown, TN. One daughter, Angela Kilburn and husband, Jerry of Summertown, TN. Two sons, Jeff Escue and wife, Saundra of Summertown, TN and Mike Escue of Summertown, TN. One sister, Elizabeth Staggs of Summertown, TN. Two brothers, Woodie Escue of Summertown, TN and Sammy Escue of Summertown, TN. Seven grandchildren. Eight great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at Whispering Hills Free Church Of God at 1:00 PM Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008 with Coy Reeves officiating. Interment will be at Hinestown Cemetery in Lewis Co., TN.
