Minnie was born in Kentucky the daughter of William Mason Coffee and Serepta Prater. She married first to Robert Lee Howard. Their children are; Lorena (Howard) Williams, Cora (Howard) Adkins, Hobart Howard, Bonnie Howard-died as an infant, Homer Benjamin Howard, Serepta (Howard) Lykins and Joseph Howard. After Robert died in 1919, on July 12, 1920 she married David F. Jenkins the son of William Henry Jenkins and Julia A. Williams and the grandson of John Milton and Nancy (Tackett) Jenkins and George and Elizabeth (Kennard) Williams. Their children are; Leroy Jenkins, Mildred (Jenkins) Howard, Imogene Jenkins, Beulah Jenkins and Darlene Jenkins. Minnie married third to Daniel Tackett.
