Retired New Haven Police Lt. David G. Burleigh beloved brother of Laurie Schnepf and her husband, Prof. Chester H.E. Schnepf and uncle of Chester G.C. Schnepf, Patricia Ann Schnepf and Heather Schnepf. Mr. Burleigh was born in New Haven, April 3, l943, son of the late George B. and Helen Durkin Burleigh. He was a graduate of the former St. Mary High School and received his bachelor degree from the University of New Haven. Mr. Burleigh had served for two enlistments during the Vietnam War where he was a medic. He retired from the New Haven Police Dept. as a Lieutenant after 20 years of service.
