Morrison's maiden name was Simonton, daughter of William Simonton, originally of Fishing Creek, Columbia co., Pa. and Matilda (unk.) Simonton. Informant was a daughter Tillie (Morrison) Harlan. Joanna remarried Levi McDaniel after the death of John A. Morrison. She was a sister of Marmaduke Simonton, KIA in the Civil War 11 August 1864. He is also buried at Cherry Hill Meth. cem.
