At two o'clock this morning Mrs. Rachel, wife of T. J. Haley, of this place, died at her residence. No. 5 Michigan avenue, of typhoid fever, aged sixty-one years. We understand that Mrs. H. had been to St. Louis to attend her daughter who resides in that city, and had been ill for some time, and from overwork, or some other cause, became ill before she arrived home. The deceased has been a resident of Kalamazoo since 1841 and was well known to old citizens, and was much esteemed and respected. The funeral will take place to-morrow afternoon from the house, at half past two o'clock. Friends are invited. Kalamazoo Daily Telegraph September 12, 1878 page 4
