Waunell "Nell" Bethea was born March 29, 1925, in DeFuniak Springs, Fla., and departed this earth on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, in Omak.

She is survived by her loving family, children Linda and James, sister Joyce Conely and Billie Jo Webb, brothers Elton and Floyd Alford, grandchildren Will Bethea, Aaron, Joshua and Benjamin Frier, Monica Wadtz, Amanda Matthews, and great-grandchildren Matthew, Emelia and Josephine Wadtz, Yvonne, Heather, Evan Matthews, and Dominick Frier.

Nell was preceded in death by her husband James Bethea and her daughter Yvonne Frier and three brothers Jack, Charles and Tom Alford.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bethea will be held on Friday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m., at the Church of Latter-day Saints, Coulee Dam, with Kent Peterson officiating.

Mrs. Bethea will lie in state at the LDS Church, 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Concluding services and interment will be held at the Spring Canyon Cemetery, Grand Coulee. Strate Funeral Home, Grand Coulee, is caring for the family.

Pallbearers were Jim Bethea, Will Bethea, Ben Frier, Richard Mitchell, Derlyn Brown, and James White.
