He was born in Indiana, the son of the late Arthur and Mae Hurley.
He was married to the former Barbara Pool on Nov. 12, 1955. He had been a resident of the Rogue Valley for the past 20 years and had worked for Boise Cascade until his retirement in 1979.
Survivors include the widow, Barbara of Talent; sons, George of Santa Rosa, CA, and Dennis of Roseburg; daughters, Shirley Nealy of Klamath Falls, Rose Hayes of Chiloquin, Patricia Glodowski of Wichita, KS, Linda Wegner of Medford and Karen Young of Washington, DC; brothers Lewis of Valpraiso, IN, and Edwin of Hammond, IN; sisters, Dorothy Jarosak of Oak Harbor, WA, Polly Bicknell of Otis Orchards, WA, Ione Maxwell of Klamath Falls and Goldie Fuzzell of Friendship, TN; also 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hurley ws preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and a grandchild.
