JAMES ARLIE BEAL Arlie peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 20, 2008. Born November 19, 1935 to Cloyd Weldon and Ruby Grace Beal, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Katherine Beal; his children; Stacie and Joe Vrecenar, Raymond and Takako Beal, Shannon and Brad Seale, Sharla and Richard Young II and his grand children, James Vrecenar and wife Mayra, Ryan Vrecenar, Katie Seale, Sarah Young, Richard Young III, and Michelle Young and his 3 stepgrandsons; His brother Richard "John" Beal and his sister Billie Clemmer and their families and a multitude of family and friends. Arlie worked for Houston Grinding and Mfg. for 40 years, attended Woodhaven Baptist Church for 20 years after moving to Houston and later Spring Woods Baptist Church for the last 21 years. He volunteered with the Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association for many years with his children and then his grandchildren. Since his retirement in 2000 he has been an active part of the Spring Woods Baptist Church Growing God's Way Mother's Day out program. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Friday at Waltrip Funeral Directors. A memorial service will be held at 10am Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Spring Woods Baptist Church, 10131 Emnora Ln. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to SWBC GGW program in memory of Arlie Beal, 10131 Emnora Lane, Houston, TX 77080. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
