Her siblings include Teena May Bogue aka Teena Turner, Tina Turner; Thomas James Bogue, and Juanita Jane Bogue. Her Partner was Cardell Neal. Her family had survived the tragedy by being one of the two major families originally from Indiana to depart with Congressman Leo Ryan and his party on November 18, 1978. She refused to leave Jonestown with her family who would survive the attack at the Port Kaituma airstrip that killed Congressman Leo Ryan, defector Patricia Parks, and three newsmen.
