Fred L. Garrow, 83, died Monday, September 29, 2008, in Pleasant Acres Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, York, Pa. He was the husband of M. Jane King Garrow. He was born in Uniontown, Pa., on May 23, 1925, son of the late Ralph and Barbara Patteson Garrow. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and served during World War II. He was a member of Derry Presbyterian Church, Hershey, and the former Lebanon Jaycees. Fred was a Prudential Insurance agent in the Lebanon area for 35 years. He enjoyed craftwork, hunting, and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by daughters Kathleene J., wife of Gary Latshaw of Elizabethtown, Jane, wife of Dennis Buchanan of Media, Pa.; grandson Mark Leffler and wife Stacy of Harleysville; granddaughter Katherine Buchanan of Media, Pa.; great-grandson Thomas Leffler; sister Barbara Ramsier; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers George, Herbert and Wilbert Garrow. Funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in Derry Presbyterian Church, 248 E. Derry Road, Hershey, PA 17033, where a viewing will be held at 9 a.m. until the time of the service. A viewing will also be held Thursday from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc., 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Interment Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
