Helen B. (Krochalis) Lendraitis, 89, of 7 Woodland Dr., died at The Meadows of Leicester. She was the wife of John A. Lendraitis, who died in 1992.
She left two brothers, Edward Krochalis and his wife Maureen of Locust Grove, Va., and Anthony Krochalis and his wife Eleanor of Alexandria, Va.; two nephews, Richard and Michael Krochalis and three nieces, Lisa Milligan, Kathy Thornhill and Megan Wagner; several great nieces and nephews.
Helen and John were dear friends of my parents and were the godparents of one of my sister's.
They were wonderful people.
Mrs. Lendraitis worked in the accounting department of Paul Revere Insurance Co. in Worcester for many years before retiring in 1983. She sold Avon Products for 40 years.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Anthony and Beatrice (Eidkuvich) Krochalis. She graduated from Commerce High and later Becker College both in Worcester.
She was a member of St.Pius X Church, the Senior Citizen Club of Leicester, Leicester Women's Club, Alpha Club at Paul Revere Insurance Co., Lithuanian Women's Club of Worcester, and Friends of the Elders.
The funeral was held from the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a "Liturgy of the Word" in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial followed in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
