Ethel Olga Rautmann, 92, formerly of Ucker Point Creek Road, Kiel, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center, New Holstein.

She was the former Ethel Ninmer, born Aug. 10, 1913, daughter of the late Oscar and Laura Westphalen Ninmer.

Ethel attended school in the town of Schleswig and in Kiel.

She married Edwin Rautmann at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, townof Schleswig on Oct. 15, 1932.

Ethel and Edwin farmed in the town of Schleswig until retirement in 1977.

Her husband Edwin preceded her in death on June 23, 1988.

Ethel moved to Kiel in 1988.

She was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ and the Eaton Ladies Aid. She also was a former volunteer for the Kiel Senior CitizenCenter.

Ethel suffered a stroke in 1998 which left her in the care of the Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center where she resided until her passing.

Survivors include one son and two daughters-in-law Connie Rautmann, Monroe, and Robert and Karen Rautmann, Manitowoc; four grandchildren Michael (Mary) of Muskego, Melissa of Oshkosh, Chad of Chicago, Ill., Adam of Menomonee Falls, and four great grandchildren Meghan, Maxwell, Abigail and Natalie.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin and her son Lowell. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2006 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, town of Schleswig with the Rev. Kathryn Kuhn officiating.

Burial will take place in Eaton Cemetery, town of Eaton.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the timeof service.

A memorial has been established for Bethlehem United Church of Christ.

Ethel's family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care she received.
