Sue was married to Jerry Southern on August 31, 1958.
She is survived by;

Gip Southern and wife, Melissa, of Maryland

Nita Basden of Stigler, Oklahoma

Mike Bailes and wife, Linda, of Stigler, Oklahoma

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
Sue graduated Stigler High School in 1958 and received her college education at Northeastern State University, where she received her teaching certificate in 1966.
Her first year of teaching was at Haskell Elementary, where she taught for 4 years. She then moved to Council Hill School and later to Barnsdall with her husband in 1979. Sue taught at Barnsdall until she moved back to Council Hill in 1985. She taught there until her retirement in 1996.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Elm Grove Baptist Church with burial at San Bois Cemetery in Kinta under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
