Sophia Rollins DIED-----At the residence of Lewis Childers, her son-in-law, in Lewis District, September 29th, 1869 [sic: 1889], Mrs. Sophia Rollins, wife of Elijah J. Rollins, deceased, a soldier of 1812, aged 84 years 1 month and 29 days. Deceased has been receiving a widow's pension for a number of years. She gave all necessary directions for her burial, and then calmly and peacefully passed away, leaving many relatives and friends to mourn her death.
