Funeral services for Philip Scott Moak were conducted last Thursday at Pine Grove Church of God by the Rev. Hines, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Zeno Wells. Interment was in Big Point cemetery. Pall bearers were Leonard Bailey, Marvin Bailey, Elmer Strickland, H. C. Strickland, James Williams and Rene Poiroux.
Mr. Moak, a mechanic, was a native of Iowa but had made his home in Hurley for the past 35 years. He had been in ill health for the past few months. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Moak: four sons, F. G. of Myrtle, Ore., Sharon of Hurley, Evans of Denver and Grant of Moss Point; five daughters, Mesdames H. W. Fry of Alaska, Beatrice Goff, Diana Dockens and Dorothy Coleman of Hurley and Norma Bowen of Motzina, Wash.; 45 grandchildren, 24 great grand-children and two brothers.
