She was born April 24, 1933 in Yamacraw, Kentucky to Harvey Branscum and Emmie Keith Branscum. Wilma was a homemaker and had been an Avon representative for many years. She was a very spiritual person, who enjoyed attending Clearview United Baptist Church, where she was a member. She also enjoyed caring for her family whom she loved dearly.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her first husband, William Duncan, and a brother, Arthur Branscum.
Survivors include her husband, Rev. Harvey Matthews of Smithtown, Kentucky, her children, Ricky A. Duncan and his wife, Beverly, of Bethel, Ohio, William Gary Duncan and his wife, Pamela, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Teresa Hicks and her husband, Dennis, of Harrison, Ohio, Patty Ayers and her husband, Tom, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Towana Scott and her husband, Jeremy, of Aurora, Indiana, her stepchildren, Danny Joe Matthews and his wife, Fran, of Wiborg, Kentucky, Don Matthews and his wife, Sandy, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Harvey Matthews, Jr. and his wife, Rita, of Revelo, Kentucky, Teresa Shannon and her husband, Lonnie, of Revelo, Kentucky, and Debbie Blakley and her husband, Norvan, of Oneida, Tennessee,, two brothers, Charles Branscum and his wife, Linda, of Franklin, Indiana, Harvey Branscum, Jr. and his wife, Emma, of Sidney, Ohio, four sisters, Geneva Duncan and her husband, Raymond, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Irene Coffey and her husband, Boyd, of Stearns, Kentucky, Margie Dobbs of Chatsworth, Georgia, and Kathleen Bruce and her husband, Don, of Bennington, Indiana, a sister-in-law, Rosa Branscum, fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and fifteen step-grandchildren.
