Lenora Christine Jones, 82, died Satuarday, October 25, 2008 in Borger.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Pudacah, Tx with Rev. Bobby Evans, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Paducah officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery of Paducah under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger and Seigler Funeral Home of Paducah.
Mrs. Jones was born on October 23, 1926 in Paris, Texas and had been a Borger resident for six years, moving here from Paducah. She was a homemaker and member of Antioch Baptist Church in Paducah. She married James Burles Jones on March 4, 1944 in Paris, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband James, parents - Earnest & Beatrice Ainsworth, three brothers - Curtis Ainsworth, Earnest Ainsworth, Burkes Ainsworth and sister, Tinnie Mae Ainsworth. Lenora enjoyed cooking, homemaking and loving her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four sons - James Earl Jones of Los Angeles, CA., Carl Jones, Leroy Jones and John Jones all of Borger, five daughters - Merlean Embers, Erma Smith, Carolyn Jones, Betty Jones and Novella Jones all of Borgerthree brothers - C.W. Ainsworth of Los Angeles, CA., Woog Ainsworth of Paducah, John Ainsworth of Los Angeles, CA., two sisters - Goldie Vowie and Clarise Ainsworth both of Los Angeles, CA., twenty five grandchildren and many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ms. Jones will lie in state in Borger Tuesday thru Thursday and then she will be in state at Seigler Funeral Home Friday and Saturday morning.
