She was born Sept. 4, 1919, in Carroll County, Georgia. Mary was enlisted into the U.S. Navy on March 22, 1943, as a Yeoman 1st Class. Mary was stationed in Miami. She was later transferred to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, during the height of the war.
She married Jack P. Tepley in 1947, and they eventually settled in Suisun Valley in 1964. After the death of Jack Tepley in 1974, she settled in Green Valley.
In 1985, she married Manual Christo and settled in Benicia. Shortly after the death of Manual Christo, Mary moved to the Loyalton Assisted Living facility until her death.
Mary was an active member of the Heritage Presbyterian Church in Benicia, the Daughters of the Revolution, the Daughters of the Confederacy and the International Egg Art Guild. Besides devoting her time to her beloved activities, her passion became her daily walks of more than 10 miles.
Mary is survived by her sons, Scott Tepley of Fairfield, Richard Christo of Benicia and Anthony Christo of Davis; along with several grandchildren.
Mary touched many lives during her lifetime and she will be greatly missed.
