Burial will be in Coax Cemetery near Baskin under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Walton died Wednesday in St. Francis Hospital at Monroe after a long illness.
A native of Mississippi, Mr. Walton had resided at Baskin for 52 years. He was a retired merchant.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Alpha Dickey of Sterlington and Mrs. Allie Gene Zumbro of Baskin; two sons, Clarence Allen Walton of Elgin, Ill. and Charles Walton of South Elgin, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Zumbro, Paul Rogers, Robert Lively Jr., Joe Marlett, Buddy Hemlier and James Ward.
Deacons of the Baskin Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
