CONVOY, Ohio - Mildred Eva (Tracy) Adams, 96, of Convoy, died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
She was born Jan. 2, 1913, in Tully Township, Van Wert County, to the late Walter Tracy and Frances (Rummel). On June 27, 1936, she married Gerald O. Adams. He died May 3, 1983.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice E. Kohn of Ohio City, Ohio; a grandchild, Brent (Lori) Kohn of Ohio City; great-grandchildren, Travis Kohn of Munice, Ind., Madison Kohn and Emma Kohn, both of Ohio City, Lindsey R. Muhlenkamp of Cleveland, Ohio, and Dylan L. Muhlenkamp of Frederickstown, Ohio; nephews, Jon and Judi Hall of Convoy and Bob and Mary Ann Hall of Convoy; nieces, Beth and Eric Knisely of Dexter, Mich.; four great-nieces, and a great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brenda Sue Kohn, a son-in-law, Jerry D. Kohn, and a sister, Mary Josephine Hall.
She was a homemaker and an eighty-year member of the Sugar Ridge Church of God. She was active in the Women's Society of the church for many years and a member of the Tully Township Loyalty League. She was a 1931 Tully-Convoy High School graduate.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at Sugar Ridge Church of God, Convoy. The Rev. Steve Waterman will officiate. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Convoy.
Calling hours are Saturday from 4 - 6 p.m. at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, and one hour before services Sunday at the church.
Preferred memorials are Sugar Ridge Church of God or CHP Inpatient Hospice Center.
