Acus Frederick was born near Madstone, England, a small village about 20 miles from London, June 2, 1828. He died in Albion, Aug. 11, 1908, aged 80 years, 2 months and 9 days. When 6 years of age, he with his parents came to America, settling in Ohio near Bellville, where he lived until his parents moved to Indiana in 1841 and settled in Jefferson Twp. He married Anna Morris in April 1850. They had 2 daughters and one son. He commenced housekeeping in a small log cabin that had been built on the Croft farm, which he at once began to clear and prepare for farming. After a few years he moved to Albion where he lived until his death. He served as deputy sheriff of this county for a number of years. He leaves 2 daughters, his companion and son preceding him in death. 8-19-1908
