Surviving are brothers, John P. (Patty) Blesedell, Jr., of Chillicothe and Ted (Mollie) Blesedell, of Columbus, OH; sisters, Mary Sue Williamson, of Reynoldsburg, OH and Elaine King, of West Palm Beach, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Daniel D. Blesedell, Jr.; brothers, Tom, Frank and Eddie Blesedell and a sister, Lola Dillon.
Daniel served in the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War as a lineman/switchman. He was a decorated war veteran receiving the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry Medal for successfully defending his Communications Command Center while under heavy enemy fire. Daniel was a retired master carpenter and was a member of the American Legion Post 757. Danny was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Slunger Hollow Productions hunting team and loved spending time in the woods with his brother John and his nephews Jason and Johnny Blesedell. They made many memories together and shared lots of laughs.
Danny could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. He enjoyed sharing his expertise in construction and finish carpentry on numerous projects throughout the years Danny caught very few breaks in life. He loved his family and friends unconditionally and without judgment. He was a good man and will be sadly missed by all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. So long Fleach Man…we'll catch you on the flip.
