Luella May Simmons Pedersen, our loving and delightful mom and grandma, passed away August, 26, 2003.

She was born July 7, 1922 in Park City, Utah to Willis A. and Mary Mair Simmons. On October 4, 1946, she married Wilbur Devor Pedersen in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1977. Lu lived for her children and grandchildren. Her life was one of "doing for others."

Survivors: son, Wilbur Dee Pedersen (Peggy), Sandy, Utah; daughter, Mary Lou Matthys (Alan), Draper, Utah; grandchildren, Wilbur Dee Pedersen Jr., Joey Lee Pedersen, Stephen Craig Pedersen, Christopher Robin Pedersen, Scott Alan Matthys; 15 great grandchildren; also nine brothers and sisters. Lu also cherished her animal family and they were considered part of her posterity.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2003 at 12 Noon in the Crescent 17th Ward, 11000 South 1300 East. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Friday 6-8 p.m. or Saturday at the church from 10:30 to 11:40 a.m. Interment, Riverton City Cemetery.

Luella was married to Thomas Eldon Haslam in about 1939. They were later divorced.
