Son of Pleasant and Mary E. Vancil Dillon Finney. Widower of Rachel C. (Rains) Finney.

He was a pound master for Herrin Twp. He resided at 600 S. 25th Street in Herrin for 16 years.

At the time of his death, he was 74 years, 1 month and 16 days old. He died from organic heart disease.

He was buried here Jan. 18, 1927.

PLEASANT had a brother, also a Civil War Veteran. TIMOTHY FINNEY~ Private, Co. I, 56th Illinois infantry regiment, mustered into service, 27 Feb. 1862, from Williamson County, Illinois
