Anastasia Synak was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Synak, Sr., at Schaupps, Nebraska, May 2, 1886, and passed to the Great Beyond, after a severe illness lasting several months, February 11, 1934, at the age of 47 years, 9 months and
9 days.

During her affliction she was a patient sufferer, offering no complaint. She was a good wife and mother, friend and neighbor, who will be greatly missed in the community.
August 2, 1904, she was united in marriage to John J. Czaplewski, at Loup City, where the family has since resided. She was the mother of ten children, one of whom died in infancy.

The surviving children are Mrs. Mary Golka of Ord, Mrs.
Monica Welniak of Omaha, Leo of Chadron, and Vernie, Frances, Lucille, Loretta, Edward and Eugene, at home.
Besides her loving husband she also leaves to mourn her death two brothers, J. J. Synak of Loup City and Edward Synak of California, and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Eurek of Loup City and Mrs. Victor Eurek of Fullerton, besides a host of other close friends.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning, February 13, from St. Josaphat's church at Loup City, in charge of Rev. John Czajka, and her remains were laid to rest in the St. Josaphat cemetery. Pall bearers were six nephews,
namely, John Synak, Edward Pelinowski, Lawrence Synak, Anton Kuffel, John Kuffel and Frank Kuffel.
Out of town relatives present were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Czaplewski, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Czaplewski, Mr. and Mrs. Zig Dropinski and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Haynes all of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. John Gruzinski of Burwell, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Gruzinski and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Welniak of Alyria [sic], Mr. and Mrs. Frank Golka, Joe Golka, and Mr. and Mrs. Lew Wezerzyk of Ord, Mrs. F. Jolkowski of Alyria, Mrs.
Mychalek of David City, Ted Osantowski of Schuyler, John Dorsczynski of Farwell, Stanley Krajewski of Ashton and Mr. and Mrs. Ig Grabowski of Lincoln.
The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the sorrowing family in their hour of sad bereavement.
