She married Charles G. Douglass on July 17, 1947, at the Presbyterian Church in Heuvelton with the Rev. Allen G. Bowering officiating. Mr. Douglass was superintendent at the New York State Armory in Ogdensburg from the late 1940s to 1980, when he retired. He also was a chief warrant officer in the Army National Guard, retiring March 28, 1980. He died July 19, 1993.
Mrs. Douglass had done child care and wallpaper hanging.
Mrs. Douglass was an active volunteer with the Claxton-Hepburn Hospital Auxiliary, St. Vincent de Paul Church, Ogdensburg Command Performances and the Frederick Remington Museum. She enjoyed bowling and knitting and was an animal enthusiast.
