Funeral services were held for Lillie Mae Amacker Brooks, 85, of Lucedale, March 18, 2002, at 11 a.m. from Sigler Funeral Home Chapel.
A native of Lamar County, she was the former owner of Brooks Motor Supply and Garage in the Barton community. A member of Barton Baptist Church, she died March 15.
She is survived by three sons, Prentiss C. (Sonny) Brooks, Jr. and Willie Brooks, both of Lucedale and Carl (Janice) Brooks of Abbieville, Ala; two daughters, Norma (Dale) Coleman of Hurley and Robbie Gilbert of Lucedale; eight grandchildren, Gerald Coleman, Harold Coleman and DeAnna Scarbrough, all of Hurley, Kevin Brooks of Abbieville, Ala., Delana Williams of Dallas, Texas, Donna Foy of Jackson, Melissa Day of Williamsburg, VA and Amy Waters of Hartford, Ala., and 14 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother, Johnnie (Betty) Amacker of Hattiesburg; a sister, Marjorie Slade of Pearl and a host of nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Prentiss C.Brooks, Sr., of 48 years, a granddaughter, Kelly Denise Brooks, a sister, Mildred McKee and a brother, Jack Amacker.
Interment was held at Barton Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Henry officiating the services.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
