He served in the US Army as Pvt where he achieved sharp shooter recognition. He returned home and continued to work as a carpenter.
He married and had 2 daughters Pamela Marie and Billie Jo Buchanan. At the time of his death he had 4 Grandchildren Stephany, Taylor, Tyler, And Tommy.
He later remarried and 2 More daughters Samantha and Charlotte Buchanan.
