Funeral services for Earl Frederick Shaffer will be held today, May 11, at the Myrtle Point Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Gerald Nelson of the First Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be held at the Myrtle Crest Memorial Gardens [Coquille, Coos Co., OR].
Mr. Shaffer died on May 8 at the age of 59. He was born April 12, 1908 in Columbus, Kansas and married Jennie Wilson on Jun. 11, 1932 in Hackensack, Minn.
He had been employed with the Coos County Road Dept. for the past 15 years.
Surviving after him his wife Jennie of Myrtle Point, son Oliver of Portland; 2 brothers, Ralph of Fresno, Calif., and P?? of Renton, Wash., sister Mrs. Naomi Scheffel of San ??, Calif.
