Jesse C. Hester, 81, Last Rites Held
Funeral services for Jesse C. (J.C) Hester, 81 a retired farmer who died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday at his home on Paducah Rt. 3, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Milburn Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. A.D. Rudolph officiating.
Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hester was born in Graves County. He was a charter member and an elder of Milburn Chapel Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Ann Hester: two sons, Clarence and Billy Hester, both of Paducah: a daughter, Mrs J. R. Luton of Paducah: a brother, George Hester of Lewisburg, Tenn.: 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and 16 nieces and nephews.
Nephews were active pallbearers and elders of the church served as honorary pallbearers.
