Doris L. Fenton, 96, of Methuen died on Friday July 13, 2007 at Lawrence General Hospital. Doris was born and raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Before retirement, she had worked in the cafeteria of Tenney High School, Methuen. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church of The Merrimack Valley and a member of The Ladies Aid Society of the church, a Sunday school teacher, a Girl Scout Leader and an advisor to the youth groups. She was also active with The Neighbors in Need Program.
The widow of William R. Fenton, her family members include her son, Robert J. Fenton of Peru, N.Y. and her daughter, Nancy L. Fenton of New Britian, CT. She has 4 grandchildren, Scott, David, Keith and Janet and 6 great grandchildren and her sister, Bernice Ryder of Exeter, N.H. and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be on Monday July 16 from 3 to 5 pm at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Brodway, Methuen. Funeral services will be on Tuesday July 17 at 1:30 pm at the funeral home.
